Chelmno Death Camp

Memorial stones to the last victims murders at the Chelmno death camp in central Poland stand on the now empty fields. The "Final Solution" against Europe's Jewish residents began at Chelmo, where anywhere from 150,000 to 300,000 persons (according to the camp's museum) were killed by carbon monoxide gas inside mobile gassing vans.
