Wannsee Conference House

On Jan. 20, 1942 at this elegant estate in Potsdam, an upper-class suburb of Berlin, 14 Nazi functionaries planned the "Final Solution to the Jewish question," known as the Holocaust. After the Wannsee Conference, the systemized mass murder of Jewish prisoners began throughout Europe. Today, it is a museum, among the best in Europe documenting the history of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust.
