A Taste of Italy

I visited Italy in late October and November 2006. It was a thoroughly delightful experience, for all of my senses. Specifically, I stayed in Rome, Assisi, Sienna, and Cinque Terra, and I made some some quick stops in other cities along Italy's well-developed rail system. Sienna charmed me, but Rome completely seduced me. I could have spent a month in Rome. In fact, I could live in Rome. I regret that I did not study Italian earlier in life. My short story on this historic Mediterranean land details why I was particularly impressed by its food, language, cultural legacy, and people. Ciao.
