| In SanliUrfa ("glorious" Urfa), Turkey, north of Syria, the back alleys offer a maze of twisting roads, walkways, and surprises, like the youngsters and adult I found while wandering. The city is sacred to Muslims, Christians, and Jews as the birthplace of Abraham, and has layers of history still visible today. |
